I love that you have Jude Siegel's book, too - it's hard to find! I found one at Half Price Books and want to get one for a friend. I enjoyed your distinction between walks for fitness and walks for being present to stop and notice! I take a lesson from my dog as he is so curious and sniffs everything -- he's a great role model! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on sketching quickly -- I have been transitioning to that method, too!
Yes, dogs are such great teachers. We lost our Tsotsi last summer and are just about ready to adopt a new family member. The lesson that I want to learn best is how to be in the present moment - not worrying about something already past or something that hasn't happened yet. I'm very interested in hearing/seeing how your transition to sketching quickly goes.
Wow . Beautiful journals.
Thank you, Matt. Do you nature journal too? If so, would you be willing to share a little about how you like to journal?
I do not :/ sadly I have no drawing skills. I keep my own journal though. Mostly just notes and thoughts.
